How To Create Stories in Quarantine

What a crazy time to be living in!

Whether you’re in serious quarantine and can’t leave your house, or you’re self-isolating and keeping your distance, this all has definitely thrown a wrench in our day to day lives.

Have you seen the sheer number of people and organizations taking everything online?

It’s overwhelming!

I’ve seen lots of live streams, shared verses, worship sessions, etc.

What I haven’t seen as much that we definitely need more of is stories!!

Even though we’re stuck at home and don’t have access to a production team or the maybe best equipment, most people have something they can record on: their smartphone.

YOU CAN SHARE STORIES FROM WHERE YOURE AT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE

It may require some more creative brainstorming on the story and editing side of things, but just about everyone has a phone that can record video. So now it’s time to put on our thinking caps on and figure out ways to use that tool, along with the internet, to collaborate and continue to share powerful stories!

It doesn’t have to be just you doing it all either! Involve your community. What is life like for them right now? What things are they experiencing? What stories can they share that are inspiring and give us hope?

Get a bunch of people to send in videos of their own stories and then you can put it together in a creative way!

I think about it like this. I get tired pretty quickly of the same repeat type of content, all except for stories. Because stories are ALL unique.

It’s a perfect time to start really utilizing the power of storytelling, and it starts with you!
